The world has been wrecked through nuclear warfare. Mutants and bandits dot the ruined landscape. Amongst all of the chaos, one man, Timmy Tom, finds a state of normalcy by continuing his old job as a pizza delivery boy. Even in the apocalypse, everyone still needs pizza!
Gameplay
Players will play through a single work day in the life of Timmy Tom. Players will receive pizza delivery orders and must complete them while managing their truck’s fuel supply. The truck will be equipped with weapons to defend against bandit and mutant attacks. Along the way to each delivery point, the player will have to defend their cargo against waves of enemy attacks. After completing each wave, the player will scavenge upgrades and items amongst the rubble of their defeated enemies. Upon completing a stage, the player will receive tip money based on the speed of the delivery. Tip money is the game’s scoring system.
Delivery Truck
Players control a weaponized pizza delivery truck. The truck is built with vehicle physics in mind, meaning that it has friction, steering, breaking, etc. The truck has a number of attributes:
- HEALTH: If Health reaches zero, the truck will explode, resulting in a game over.
- FUEL: Fuel is required to drive the car. If Fuel reaches zero, the truck starts burning health as fuel.
- PIZZAZZ: Pizzazz impacts the speed of the truck’s defenses.
- SAUCINESS: Sauciness impacts the power of the truck’s defenses.
- TOUGHNESS: Toughness reduces the amount of damage the truck takes.
- SPEED: Speed impacts how fast the car goes.
- STRENGTH: Strength impacts the damage and cooldown rate of the truck’s Boost ability.
- EFFICIENCY: Efficiency impacts the rate at which fuel is lost or burned.
Waves
Each stage occurs in waves. A number of waves of enemies must be defeated in each level before the player can move on in their journey. Once every enemy in a wave is defeated, the next wave begins. An exception to this rule is the final boss wave, which will continually spawn enemies until the designated boss enemy is defeated.
